Players engage in buying and selling a wide variety of parts to build their vehicle, balancing their finances carefully to achieve their goals. Whether you aim to create a reliable daily driver, a competitive race car for rallying or circuit racing, or a finely tuned masterpiece, the game offers nearly 200 unique parts to customize your build. The detailed simulation extends beyond assembly, featuring realistic driving mechanics, vehicle condition, and engine behavior, alongside a selection of other usable cars ranging from the 1960s to the 1990s, as well as trucks and tractors. Traversing dozens of kilometers of snowy forest roads, icy highways, and frozen lakes, players must also manage body temperature and endure the harsh, dark Finnish winter while exploring various job opportunities and engaging with authentic law enforcement that reacts realistically to reckless actions. The game’s atmosphere is defined by its unforgiving mid-winter environment, where cold, darkness, and isolation create a challenging and immersive survival scenario. Time becomes difficult to track, and the surrounding world moves forward as the player struggles deeper into hardship, continuing the narrative tone established in the original game. - Go to your desired server, open it and then download it.
- Once the file has finished downloading, locate the .zip and right-click it. Choose “Extract to My Winter Car”. (You’ll need 7-Zip for this — get it here.)
- Open the newly extracted folder and run the game as administrator.
- That’s it — enjoy the game! If you see any missing DLL errors, open the Redist or _CommonRedist folder inside and install the required programs.
